As wedding plans started taking shape via hundreds of emails and phone calls, just hearing California couple, Mike and Jess, interact with each other, even from a distance, were amazing lessons in love.  

i think that's why i was extra excited to witness their wedding day unfold into an inspiring, intimate and heartwarming celebration that was truly focused on friendship, family and love.  And what a beautiful thing that is to witness...

Pacific Wedding Guide!

It's official! We promised we'd spread the word once Pacific Wedding Guide officially launched their wedding planning resource guide for the islands of Hawaii and New Zealand, so here we are!  Tara made the official announcement today that her website is in living color, and will continue to be supported by her daily blog posts which we love to read over a good cup of morning brew.  

We're excited to see so many of our real wedding photos laced throughout this fun and informative website and we think you'll enjoy every yummy bit of it...

We can hardly wait for the US Postal Service to release the much anticipated 2009 Hawaii Statehood Stamp, which is slated to be available for purchase SOME TIME this summer.  In fact it seems that ALL of our destination Hawaii brides tying the knot towards the tail end of 2009 are clamoring for this bit of history.

What a perfect way to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the 50th State, AND send off those fun Save the Dates or Wedding Invitations, SWAK!

We can't help but be excited about Los Angeles based designer Tamar Wong's first official clothing collection debut for local design giant Tori Richard.

Why the excitement?

Not only is Tamar a local girl (she graduated from Maryknoll High School), she is a Pacific Aisles bride (stay tuned for photos from Tamar & Scott's recent holiday wedding) AND has been turnin heads in the fashion world, not only here locally, but internationally!

While Tamar's designs have been selling like hotcakes in stores like Macy's, Neiman Marcus and Tori Richard's signature boutiques, Tamar and her designs have been featured in a handful of Japan based publications as WHAT'S HOT!

Rumor has it that Tamar's designs were snatched up by the fashion editors of Lucky Magazine, Glamour Magazine and IN STYLE to be featured in upcoming issues. We also hear that her vintage inspired prints and hip modern designs have made it on Oprah's short list of favorites. No doubt we'll soon start to see these fashionable threads as perfect cocktail attire or even fun bridesmaids dresses for weddings.

Meanwhile, here's a sneak peak of her UPCOMING ultra cool Spring/Summer line, slated to hit stores in the next month or so.

Congratulations Kenzie & Ipolito!

I loved the simplicity of this intimate and memorable wedding we helped orchestrate for Kenzie and Ipolito Malloy, who flew in from the great Northwest to tie the knot here on Oahu.  While it's true i tend to tear up at many of our weddings, the love and emotion that this couple displayed for each other had me reaching for tissues time and again.

I enjoyed seeing them celebrate the day with 20 of their closest friends and family, and the simplicity of their day reminded me how beautiful LOVE really is...
